When should I send a baby gift?
If there is a shower prior to the birth of the baby, it is obviously okay to send or give gifts at that point in time. If there is no shower or you are unsure, it is best to wait till after the baby is born. For religious reasons, some families are unable to accept gifts before the birth of the baby, so waiting ensures you will be appropriate. If that is the case, wait until you receive any sort of birth announcement - whether it's an email from the new parents, an update of pictures on Facebook or a formal announcement in the mail.
