An Eco-Toast

On April 22nd, raise your recyclable glass and give a toast in honor of Earth Day. After you’re done praising the “go green” movement with a healthy “Cheers!”, take of a sip of your eco-cocktail. Yes, that’s right.  This is Earth Day you will no longer be swigging your go to cocktail. Instead, you should opt for an eco-drink. Here’s what’s on tap this Earth Day.

For the Health Nut:  We know what you’re thinking- alcohol and good for you?  Well. It’s true. The world’s first Acai spirit made from a Brazilian national fruit considered to be the healthiest food on the planet, VeeV vodka is not only good for the Earth, it’s also good for you.  Haven’t you been watching Oprah?

“The VeeV Acai-tini” Ingredients: 2.0 oz of VeeV , 1.5 oz açaí juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 2 bar spoons of agave nectar Directions: Combine VeeV, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, açaí juice and ice in a cocktail shaker and shake. Strain and pour into a martini glass and garnish with a lime wedge.

"VeeV-ini" Ingredients: 0.5 oz of VeeV , Champagne. Directions: In a champagne glass, drop in a chilled shot of VeeV with champagne of choice and garnish with blueberries and raspberries.

For the guy (or girl) who just loves a good, stiff cocktail:  VeeV may not be vodka but it sure tastes just like it, and better yet, it’s good for you and the planet.  So take a sip, relax, and enjoy a guilt free buzz!

“The VeeV it Up” Ingredients: 2.0 oz VeeV , club Soda, juice of 1 lime wedge. Directions: In a highball glass filled with ice, add VeeV and top with club soda. Squeeze 1 lime wedge into the cocktail and garnish with a fresh lime wedge.

And for all of you, who simply hate the taste of liquor, we have another option.
