Super Bowl 2010 Party Ideas

Super Bowl 2010

The Super Bowl is on February 7, so if your husband or boyfriend has asked if “you guys” can host this year, it is time to start planning. If you are anything like me ( NOT into sports) then you are probably dreading this task, BUT don’t be.  Planning a Super Bowl party can actually be really fun and chic (football..chic??? YES!). Here’s how:

Chic Invites: Rather than sending out a mass email why not send a personalized invite. If you want to do this electronically, opt for Paperless Post- a trendy online invitation company, and if you want to make the party really memorable, send an invite in the mail. Our favorite is the Football Fans invite by Dinky Designs.  The price for 50 is $60.00

Décor: Plumparty has a great selection of Super Bowl paper products and serving dishes. Some of their products can even be personalized with your name or any message that you want. One of my favorites is the personalized football player napkins that cost $23 for 50. And if you want just cute napkins that do not cost a ton of money- these are a great option for $3.

Good Food:  I love the idea of serving snack food at a Super Bowl party. My top recommendations are the Popcorn Factory’s Super Bowl themed tub of popcorn that is perfect for your guests to snack on during the game, and Football sugar cookies from Edible Gifts Plus.

Chic Outfit:  Normally he may be mad that you spent money on a new headband to wear once, but this time he won’t.  We love the headband that was recently shown on the  Rachel Ray show for $22 at the NFL Shop.
