When should I send my wedding invitations?

If you are sending save the date cards you can mail your wedding invitations six weeks prior to your wedding date; however, if you have not sent save the dates SSM recommends mailing the invitations at least eight weeks prior to the affair. All of the people you have chosen to invite to your wedding are near and dear to you so you want to give them as much time as possible to make arrangements to attend.
