When should I send save the dates for my wedding?

Save the date cards are completely optional and are usually sent at least four to six months prior to the wedding date. SSM highly recommends sending them when getting married on a holiday weekend, having a destination wedding or inviting a significant amount of people who will have to travel to your wedding.
